Some Senior Pics - Bismarck Senior Photographer

I typically focus on children and family photography but when I was asked to do this senior session, I was happy to oblige.  This girl is special!  A close friend and such a sweet spirit.  I can't believe she's graduating.  Time goes by so fast, doesn't it?

I love that the grass is green and trees are starting to bloom.  It's about time!  And they make pictures so much better.  :)

My lil Surfer Sis - Bismarck Photographer

One chilly afternoon, we went out to the beach and took some pictures of my senior sis with her surf board.  When I say "some," I literally mean some!  It was so cold, my sister was done after about 12 shots.  That's okay, we got some fun ones and a couple beautiful ones with the water:

She doesn't look like she's shivering, does she?  Quick shutter speeds are such a blessing.  :)

My little sister is graduating!  It's a bit surreal.  I can remember her childhood vividly...all of it: diaper changes, tantrums, and fits of giggles.  Life really does go by so fast!

On our recent vacation to Florida, I had the privilege of taking her senior pictures.

It was such a fun time.  We were at a resort area and there were so many different settings.   I love this corrugated metal wall.

She has become so poised and mature.  I love her so much and was so thankful I could be a part of some special memories for her.  Stayed tuned...I have some of her "surfer girl" pics to post later this week!

Class of 2013 - Senior Pictures

I was able to sneak in a session with this kid, er...  6'4 senior the other day before the snow came (something I am still disillusioned about).  I had to correct myself because I had a brief moment when his mom asked me to do the pics that I thought "Why?  He's only 14."  But reality set in...he's not 14!  We have known him for awhile and I just can't believe he is a senior this year and graduating.   He should only be 14! (And no, the height didn't make me think he was older, I think he has been six feet since he was 10!  lol)

He even brought a few props to our session at the Capitol, including his baby brother.  (Side Note:  A baby is really the best prop! You just can't go wrong!)  But I love these shots with his guitar, too.

Congratulations, class of 2013!
