I had the chance to photograph my photographer last week!  I have always felt regular family pictures are important.  That's why my family also gets them done on a yearly basis!  I have really enjoyed getting to know Jill and her family.  They are a bunch of cuties:

This is another session I would term "Lifestyle Photography."  Again, it's some of my favorite work because everything is so genuine.  A family together at home, what's more beautiful?

Big sisters were fighting over little brother...literally!  He's going to be so loved!  (And smushed)  :)

Bismarck Lifestyle Photographer

I have been studying my way through books and blogs on "Lifestyle Photography."  I prefer this style in general.  It's more candid.  Yes, I do pose my clients often but watching kids play or parents interact with them is very special.  I long to capture their personalities and that genuine relationship.

To be true to lifestyle photography though, the environment should be something the kiddos are used to.  Great examples:

Their bed/crib.

With their siblings, their blankets, their stuffed animals.

Their room, with their toys:
